Sowing
This type of tobacco is usually planted under unirrigated land conditions; total unirrigated land (watering is not applied), semi-unirrigated land (watering is applied) and with watering (in this case is the type of tobacco that the smallest total norm of watering is applied). The date of sowing is based fundamentally on the climatic conditions and type soil. We recommend the following:

In the plantations without watering is convenient to take advantage of the humidity of the soil, for what this activity should be carried out in early dates. In the plantations with watering, the time of the transplant will be up to January 10 with the varieties `Criollo 98 ' and ' Havana 92 '.
The distance of transplant will be of 76 cm (30 -inches) between furrows or ridge and of 25 cm (10 inches) between plants; the "chiva” should be used for achieving the adequate number of plants per area and to guarantee good yields.
